First Stertil-Koni ECOLIFT for Japan

A Japanese manufacturer of commercial electric vehicles has selected Stertil-Koni vehicle lifts for it’s assembly plant dedicated to commercial EVs. 

This particular manufacturer develops, manufactures and sells commercial electric vehicles (buses, trucks, etc.)  in line with the overall aim of realising a Zero-Emission society with Japanese battery powered vehicle  technology. 

Special ONE Inc,. Stertil-Koni’s exclusive Japanese Distributor, has been commissioned to install the Stertil-Koni platform SKYLIFT and in-ground scissor ECOLIFT heavy duty vehicle lifts in one of the buildings at the approximately 58,000 m² site. This is a premier for Special ONE with the installation of their first ECOLIFT in Japan.

Vehicle Lift for Low-Clearance Buses

The in-ground scissor ECOLIFT is ideal for driving on low-clearance buses and also requires minimal excavation work with an installation depth of 0.87 m. The movable lifting mechanism can recess below floor level anywhere within the travel range. The Stertil-Koni ECOLIFT is THE wheel-free maintenance solution. The ECO 60 2-scissor version was installed at the facility in Japan with a lifting capacity of 27,000 kg and a lifting height  of 1,780 mm.

Besides the ECOLIFT, the manufacturer ordered for the same facilty a Stertil-Koni SKYLIFT. An easy “drive-on” and “drive-off” platform lift with optimal access to the vehicle, taking up minimum workshop floor space.  With the patented construction – making it easy to work around and under the raised vehicle. The SKY.250 model with a lifting capacity of 25,000 kg and a lifting height of 1,750 mm was installed.

Mr. Norimasa Tamura, CEO of Special ONE Inc, and his team completed the installation together with Mr. Oelke Douma, Technical Support Manager of Stertil-Koni, last month.
